Schoeni Art Gallery is delighted to participate in the 10th Hong Kong ArtWalk on 17 March 2010. Hong Kong’s biggest and best known art charity event, Hong Kong ArtWalk, provides a once a year opportunity for its audience to contribute to charity, while at the same time immersing in a plethora of art, along with fine wine and canapés within an extended area from Soho to Aberdeen. With 62 galleries participating this year, all Hong Kong ArtWalk 2010 raised donations will benefit the Society for Community Organisation (SoCO). Proceeds raised will be used in SoCO’s proactive community work, original social policy research and advocacy role.

This year at Schoeni Art Gallery, we will be showcasing artworks from our WO MEN – We Are Our Own Women exhibition. The group show is dedicated to celebrate the International Women’s Day (8th March), featuring works by 5 empowering contemporary Chinese artists: Liu Hong Yuan, Peng Wei, Qing Qing, Shuai Mei and Yu Chen. WO MEN aims to demonstrate that, within such a male dominated Chinese contemporary art circle, female art is just as talented, inspiring and strong.

Apart from the WO MEN exhibition, we will also be showcasing a series of limited edition artworks from our Niubi Newbie Kids collection and Adapta Projects series.

Tickets, priced at HK$430 (adults) and $100 (tertiary students), will be on sale from 2 March 2010 at galleries situated in Central and along Hollywood Road and Wyndham Street, including Schoeni Art Gallery (Hollywood Road Branch).
