Xia Xing graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and is a cynical realist painter. He once said: "To have deep and incomparable feelings for everything about yourself (women, pets, books, toys, etc.) you will find that something called 'creation' begins quietly."

Xia Xing's superb oil painting skills are unquestionable. At the age of forty, his mentality is still wild and uninhibited. For him, the greatest joy is to fabricate some truths that are difficult to occur in the real world, or do not want to admit, such as the evil thoughts hidden in the rational consciousness.
