The gallery held more than 180 exhibitions and published over 50 catalogues during its 20 year history.
More exhibition archives will be added periodically and it is expected to be completed by mid-2023.
Schoeni Art Gallery and its founder, Manfred Schoeni, was instrumental in assisting the museum of the ‘Stiftung fur Kunst und Kultur’ (Bonn, Germany) and the curator of ChinArt, Walter Smerling, for the introduction and organisation of the Chinese Contemporary artists and their artworks that were included in this travelling museum show.

The artworks express the popular trend for Chinese women to strike out into a new life of freedom with modern ideas. A catalogue was published in conjunction with the exhibition.

Schoeni Art Gallery held Cao Jingping’s fourth solo exhibition at its Beijing gallery and the show later traveled to Schoeni Art Gallery in Hong Kong. Prior to that Cao Jingping also had solo exhibitions in Germany (1998), Chong Qing (1999) and Shanghai (2000) in China. A catalogue was published in conjunction with the exhibition.

Liu Ye’s artworks with palettes of bright colours and influences from Vermeer and Mondrian have become iconic. Many of his highly sought after artworks were shown at his solo exhibitions held by Schoeni Art Gallery, not only in Beijing but also the following year in Hong Kong (2004).
